Ken Montgomery
Ken Montgomery leads the strategic corporate advisory and community development sector for Advisor Sphere. Advisor Sphere Consulting partners with organizations using real estate to solve some of our most difficult and persistent societal challenges. That may mean crafting and implementing a home repair program to maintain affordable housing stock or researching housing development solutions or helping a non profit find a new building to grow and thrive. Clients have included Texas Heavenly Homes, St. Philips School and Community Center, Rainwater Charitable Foundation, Frazier Revitalization and East Dallas Community Organization.
Ken is currently appointed to the Public Facility Corporation Board representing District 9 and serves as the Board’s Vice President. He has represented District 9 on the Community Development Commission. The CDC is designed to foster citizen participation and provide advice and recommendations to the City Manager and City Council on the use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and other U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Grant funds.
His professional career includes more than 20 years in the financial services industry, including serving as the Director of Education for the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives. Additionally at 1st Global, he directed training programs for 1100 advisors, evaluated new product sponsor relationships for broker/dealer and managed existing sponsor relationships.

Corporate and middle market business consulting experience in developing strategic alliances, planning for growth and exit, M&A consolidation programs, and financial and market due diligence. Background includes extensive financial management experience with major corporations, serving as the senior financial executive for corporate business units with revenues over $500 million. More than 20 years of experience in nonprofit, corporate and business management and professional advisory services.
Brings significant expertise in program development, measurement and evaluation plans, community collaboration models, strategic partnership development, strategic plan facilitation, infrastructure development and resource development. Conducted community outreach, bond feasibility studies and utility cost of service analyses for municipal clients. Other clients have included financial services, human services, youth development, workforce development, arts, scientific and cultural organizations. Highly experienced in developing nonprofit, for profit and social enterprise business plans.
